Seeking the perfect holiday spot for a short break, where the whole family is satisfied, can be pretty tricky. Here’s a few hotels which have excellently themed their hotels and rooms.

Holiday Chessington Inn

The hotel has a great safari themed decor and you’d be fooled to think your in the African continent, until you walk outside and realise you’re in the middle of Surrey. On the grounds outside the hotel there is their Wanyama Reserve where you can see animals such as zebra and antelope roaming – you can even upgrade your room so you have a view of the animals from your bedroom window! For a few extra pounds you can bag one of the specially themed rooms that come complete with a tented sleeping area for the children. With all of this and the theme park right on your door steep, it’s a great family adventure.

Alton Towers Resort
There is an abundance of themed rooms on offer throughout this hotel; you’ll be spoilt for choice.



At the Alton Towers Hotel there is a Sonic the Hedgehog Room, Sleepover Room, Peter Rabbit Room and a Chocolate Room, amongst many others! Or you can stay at the Splash Landings hotel which has Pirate Themed Rooms for you and your family to enjoy. Whichever hotel you go with, your children are bound to love it.

Drayton Manor Hotel
Drayton Manor theme park are opening their own hotel this summer.

This brand new hotel is still being built but is due to open in August 2011. It is set to have a Thomas the Tank Engine theme running through it, which is in keeping with the Thomas Land they have at the theme park. Expect character breakfasts and a few themed Thomas bedrooms – it’s a must for families with kids who are fans of the famous blue steam train!

Disney Paris Hotel
With seven hotels to choose from at Disney Land Paris, the hard part is deciding where to stay!

At Disney’s Hotel New York you can step into the Big Apple, go to the Wild West at Disney’s Hotel Cheyenne or stay at the Disneyland Hotel where you can enjoy character breakfasts.
