Luton Airport Isnt As Bad As You Think
Some airports simply add to the stress of flying, places like Charles de Gaulle in Paris for example. It’s horribly complicated, usually dirty and smelly and is so badly designed it takes an hour to actually get anywhere. Of course at the other end of the scale is Terminal 5 at Heathrow and sure, its had its fair share of bad press, but who wouldn’t prefer going through this terminal instead of the Paris version.
But when it comes to some of the other UK airports you can fly in and out of, Luton hardly springs to the top of your mind, yet it provides all of the basic services the big guns do and does so in what feels like an easy, uncomplicated way. To begin with Luton airport parking is relatively painless and actually pretty easy. Unlike the other big airports, you won’t get lost, don’t need to walk miles to get anywhere and even the restaurants seem better priced.
You can also get some great deals on accomodation with an amazing number of Luton airport hotels all providing various levels of comfort and quality, some with fitness rooms, bars and even spas. The local area serving the airport has banks and financial venues allowing you get your currency and book some last minute travel insurance.
There is also a ton of places to eat, not just at the airport, but locally too, all within 15 minutes easy reach of the terminal building. Checking in is a breeze and getting through the usually stressful security area seems almost enjoyable, its that efficient.
It’s difficult to imagine choosing a destination based solely on where you fly from perhaps, but the next time you want to jet off to sunnier climbs, you’d do well to remember that you can get to India, Hong Kong, North Africa, Greece, Turkey and almost every major European country from Luton.
