Things To Do In Torquay
If you did not actually know it is worth knowing that Torquay is in Devon not far from Exeter. It is a main tourist destination and so many people out there actually go on Torquay holidays here every single year as well as going on spa breakstoo! it would certainly seem there are a lot of things to do in the town of Torquay, surely one of the following reasons is going to get you going to the town?!
Tourism
Torquay is a place that is very rich in tourism and it is actually the main income of the town, people come not only from across the UK but from all over the world to see what the place has to over. It would seem that this is because there are a lot of things to do in this town. One of these locations is Kents Cavern and this is the most important stone age site in Britain and was home to man for 700,000 years. there were a lot of different populations that lived there which is why it is big on archaeology. Famous people tended to love this place and some of the people that have gone here include Beatrix Potter, Agatha Christie and King George V.
nature plays a massive part in Torquay and something worth looking into is living coasts. it is a coastal zoo full of all kinds of animals and is an open area and has been open since 2004. although you will find that the most loved animal here is the penguin it is not the only one you can find, there are so many different animals here!
These are not the only things you can do in Torquay but they will certainly keep you busy over a weekend which is why you can at least go there to try it out. Who knows if you really like it you can go there on your Christmas Hotel Breaks.
