Top Three Gadgets For Going On Holiday
Going on holiday can be extremely good fun and generally we all look forward to our yearly holiday, whether its in the UK or abroad. However going on holiday, particularly if you have kids, can turn out to be an extremely stressful experience.
Getting charged unexpectedly, lost luggage, not being able to use the electricity, theft, etc. all have the potential to turn a holiday into anything other than a relaxing experience.
Luckily though, there are many gadgets on the market that can help lower the risk of these kinds of issues ruining your holiday.
First on the list is an extremely useful little toy, the Trace Me Luggage Tag. Approx 37 million pieces of luggage were lost last year throughout the world (and that doesnt included the T5 opening fiasco). The Trace Me Tracker consists of a durable tag that easily and securely fastens to your suitcase, containing a unique serial number and barcode. Should your luggage get lost, the staff at whichever airport its found at can scan the barcode, or input the serial number to the Immobile website, which will tell them who the luggage belongs to. Once your luggage goes into the system, youll recieve either a text or email (or both) telling you where your bag is, so that you can call the airport.
Next up are the Ergo Digital Luggage Scales, a great little gadget that allows you to accurately weigh your suitcases before you leave the house. This lets you save the cost of any potential charges for excess baggage. The gadget is extremely simple to use and at only £20 is a good deal considering the amount it could save you in the long run. Just make sure you take it with you on holiday, so you can use it for the flight home! Ideal if youre after gifts for men that like to save money – essentially a great method for keeping dad in a good mood!
Next up is the Travel Adaptor, which you should be able to find from most good online retailers (such as iWoot) for £16.99. Youve probably bought and used a travel adaptor in your time, but you wont have come across one as versatile as this one. The adaptor lets you plug in to any power socket in the UK, US or EU. It even has a dedicated USB port, which will let you power USB (and USB 2.0) wherever you happen to be. Not only will all your vital gadgets work, but the plug even features two separate fuses, protecting your electrical items and toys in the event of a power surge.
