Wanted: One missing AA 777 door.

So I just “borrowed” (stole?) this image from Andrea Ahles’ blog over there at the Star Telegram. I suspect the person who sent the pics (she’s got more – check ‘em out over there) probably sent it to Terry as well, but Terry’s out. Here’s the deal: AA’s 777 came in yesterday from Sao Paulo. It rolled up to the gate, but its wheels were NOT blocked, according to the airline.
The door was opened, passengers got out, but the plane rolled back and the open door — a pretty sturdy piece of equipment, by the way — got sheared off.
American says they’re investigating whether or not the brakes were set properly. Nobody got injured and the plane might be flying again as soon as tomorrow.
Strange things do happen with planes.
