Women Take To The Air

Women CEO’s or presidents of companies are on the rise. Despite the slow, unsteady start, it is becoming abundantly clear that women are no longer laughed at behind their backs in boardrooms like they were in the older days.

Even though only twelve percent of Fortune top 500 companies have women CEO’s, you can take some reassurance in the knowledge that this percent is on a slow, steady rise. Along with the increase of women in top executive company positions, corporations are looking for a way to do more business with these ladies.

One perfect example of a sector that has always seemed to be male dominated and catered to is the airlines. Women in advertisements are no longer sitting besieged with children on the plane. Now the woman is in first class or business class with a male flight attendant waiting on her. You can almost hear the old decree of “You’ve come a long way, baby.”

Executive jet charter corporations are now competing for the business of women against these commercial airlines. When choosing to charter a jet, there are lots of luxuries that are included, a few are more geared towards women. Once in air, an executive jet charter company claims that they can give you a personal day spa-like experience. Included are a manicure, pedicure and facial. After the relaxing and refreshing flight, you are guaranteed to feel and look more beautiful, which is part of the pleasure of being a woman that a man will never know.

After your flight, you can either procure a limo to drive you to your destination, or opt for more of a conventional rental car. This business too, is now catering to its female audience. A national advertisement even has the dad holding a child on his hip while the woman gets into the red sporty rental and drives away with a wave.

So even though it has been stated in USA news and several online news sites that it will take over 40 years for women to catch up with the number of men in the boardroom, making things equal, you can be assured women will do it in comfort and style. Hopefully more companies will take notice, like the executive jet charter companies and rental agencies, in catering and appealing to the new strong workforce of female CEO’s and presidents.
